Mobile interfaces to the systems behind them.

I’m Lohit, a software engineer who works across the whole product — the mobile app, the APIs and data behind it, and the infrastructure that keeps it running. I started in React Native and it’s still where I’m most comfortable, but the work that’s stretched me the most has been real-time systems, background services, testing infrastructure, and figuring out how to keep costs sane as things grow.

Full-Stack & Infrastructure Engineer

Turtil · Hyderabad

Worked on mobile delivery in a small team — React Native/Expo releases, OTA updates, CI/CD, and the App Store and Play Store lifecycle. Beyond the app, I spent a lot of time on the pieces that keep it running: a native module to keep location collection alive after process termination, real-time chat and live polls over WebSockets (and a Convex→Socket.IO migration when costs got out of hand), testing infrastructure with reliable seed data, and production ops across web, APIs, PostgreSQL, payments and AWS.

Mobile, Backend & Frontend Engineer

Hyposoft Global Solutions · Hyderabad

Built React Native products for agriculture, cold-storage commerce and sports communities, backed by Node.js, MongoDB, Firebase, Socket.IO, push notifications and payment integrations.

Build journal

What I’m learning now.

A lightweight public log of the fundamentals I’m revisiting and the systems I’m building.

  1. C fundamentals

Why systems work the way they do

Learned C to understand what is actually happening underneath the abstractions — it is all about moving bits through memory, pointers and the CPU.

  2. PostgreSQL

    Raw SQL and relational reasoning

Schema design, constraints, joins, transactions, indexes, query plans and SQL contracts.

  3. Go backend

    A production-shaped HTTP service

Configuration, pgx pools, migrations, SQLC, API boundaries, authentication and testing.

  4. Core CS

    DSA, networking and operating systems

Learning from first principles, implementing each concept and writing down the mental model.

Engineering practice

Comfortable across the stack.

Most of my work starts on mobile, but the interesting problems usually live behind it — real-time systems, background services, testing infrastructure, and the unglamorous cost decisions that keep things running.

Release engineering

OTA, CI/CD and store operations

End-to-end delivery — EAS build profiles, release channels, safe Expo Updates, automated submissions, store compliance, review responses and rollouts.

Background services

Native modules when React Native stops

A native module to keep location collection alive after the JS process is terminated — buffering locally and syncing to the server on reconnect.

Real-time systems

WebSockets that scale

Real-time chat and live poll updates over WebSockets. Moved from a managed platform (Convex) to a self-hosted Socket.IO service when the bill started climbing.

Offline & performance

Useful without a network

Offline-first persistence so core features stay usable on poor or absent networks, with attention to scroll and data-fetching performance on low-end devices.

Quality & testing

Test before shipping

Unit, integration and end-to-end (Maestro) testing with reliable backend seed data, so releases can be validated automatically instead of by hand.

Infrastructure

AWS, Terraform, observability

Ran production across four AWS environments with Terraform — ECS, RDS, Lambda, S3, CloudFront — plus OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus and Loki for visibility.

Beyond mobile

Full stack when needed.

Web & APIs

TypeScript, React, Next.js, Hono, Node.js, REST, real-time communication and Go.

Data

PostgreSQL, SQL, Drizzle, Redis/Valkey, transactions, indexing and relational modeling.

Production

AWS, Terraform, Docker, GitHub Actions, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Sentry and PostHog.

Product systems

Authentication, payments, background jobs, analytics, notifications and production support.
