I’m Lohit, a full-stack software engineer with 4+ years of production experience across React and React Native products, backend APIs, PostgreSQL and AWS. At Turtil, that included a Next.js college-management platform and an AI interface that connected institutional knowledge, application APIs and real UI actions. My work extends through authentication, real-time services, background jobs, infrastructure, observability, security and the cost decisions that keep a production system healthy.

A few things I’ve worked on.

Published apps and the systems behind them — built with small teams, shipped to real users.

Turtil Campus

Academic and campus workflows built for real network conditions. Timetables remain available offline through local SQLite persistence, with considered loading, empty and error states.

Parentz

A community app that grew out of Turtil Student. I handled mobile delivery, EAS builds, OTA updates, push notifications, Maestro testing, crash monitoring and store releases, backed by the same real-time campus platform as Turtil CMS.

Experience

From screens to servers to on-call.

Full-Stack & Infrastructure Engineer

Turtil · Hyderabad

Built across Turtil’s product ecosystem: the Next.js/React CMS used by college administrators and staff, and the React Native apps used by students and parents. CMS work covered enrollment, invitations, attendance, timetables, chat and campus operations, plus an AI assistant using MCP, vector retrieval and application tools for contextual answers, API/database calls and real UI actions. I also owned mobile releases, session-based authentication with real-time access control, dedicated WebSocket and background-job services, testing infrastructure, and AWS operations. I moved suitable ECS workloads from Fargate to EC2-backed capacity to reduce cost while preserving autoscaling services for staging and production.

Mobile, Backend & Frontend Engineer

Hyposoft Global Solutions · Hyderabad

Built React Native products for agriculture, cold-storage commerce and sports communities, backed by Node.js, MongoDB, Firebase, Socket.IO, push notifications and payment integrations.

Build journal

What I’m learning now.

A lightweight public log of the fundamentals I’m revisiting and the systems I’m building.

  1. C fundamentals

Why systems work the way they do

Learned C to understand what is actually happening underneath the abstractions — it is all about moving bits through memory, pointers and the CPU.

  2. PostgreSQL

    Raw SQL and relational reasoning

Schema design, constraints, joins, transactions, indexes, query plans and SQL contracts.

  3. Go backend

    A production-shaped HTTP service

Configuration, pgx pools, migrations, SQLC, API boundaries, authentication and testing.

  4. Core CS

    DSA, networking and operating systems

Learning from first principles, implementing each concept and writing down the mental model.

Engineering practice

Complete product ownership.

I work from responsive interfaces through APIs, data and real-time services to security, deployment, cost optimization, observability and production support.

Release engineering

OTA, CI/CD and store operations

End-to-end delivery — EAS build profiles, release channels, safe Expo Updates, automated submissions, store compliance, review responses and rollouts.

Background services

Native modules when React Native stops

A native module to keep location collection alive after the JS process is terminated — buffering locally and syncing to the server on reconnect.

Real-time systems

Dedicated services, controlled access

Separated WebSocket workloads from the main API, optimized chat and live updates, and enforced session-based authentication with real-time authorization as user access changed.

Offline & performance

Useful without a network

Offline-first persistence so core features stay usable on poor or absent networks, with attention to scroll and data-fetching performance on low-end devices.

Quality & testing

Test before shipping

Unit, integration and end-to-end (Maestro) testing with reliable backend seed data, so releases can be validated automatically instead of by hand.

Infrastructure

Lower cost without weaker operations

Moved suitable ECS workloads from per-task Fargate to EC2-backed capacity, separated job workers and WebSocket services, and ran four AWS environments with Terraform and full observability.

Beyond mobile

The role, end to end.

Backend systems

TypeScript and Go APIs, session-based auth, real-time authorization, WebSockets, jobs, retries and scheduling.

Data

PostgreSQL, SQL, Drizzle, Redis/Valkey, transactions, indexing and relational modeling.

Production

AWS, Terraform, Docker, GitHub Actions, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Sentry and PostHog.

React & AI products

Next.js, React, TypeScript, responsive admin workflows, MCP tools, vector retrieval and chat-driven UI actions.
